ERIK AND SKYE BREDBERG INVITES // 2011

Printed on Sycamore wood and paired with fall colored envelope and response postcard, Erik and Skye wanted an autumn vibe to their modern cocktail hour themed wedding.

SEPHORA STORE DIRECTORS CONFERENCE // 2006-2011 // PBJS

Screen graphics projected on stage and throughout event space on monitors.  SDC  is an annual event encouraging business progression and employee morale.

TechReady

TECH READY PRE SHOW GRAPHICS // 2006-2011 // PBJS

TechReady is a semi-annual, 5-day internal technical conference for Microsoft employees.  The pre show is news-type broadcast that updates tenants as they enter the event while entertaining them with games, music, and instruction.  These illustrations were visuals on monitors throughout the venue as well as aids for the broadcasters like you would see on your local News.

Microsoft Studios

MICROSOFT STUDIOS // 2007 // PBJS

Promotional branding poster campaign at Microsoft campus to market the abilities of Studios, a creative group internally at Microsoft.  Working with a Creative Director and Art Director, I designed a personality for 3 posters profiling testimonials of client experiences with Studios.  A photo shoot was organized of each profiled client and then illustrated was the concept of each persons idea in their head that needed to be a reality.  To support the campaign, a calling card was created using illustrations from the hero poster as well as designed for the branding of Studios.

FTL Performance

FTL PERFORMANCE // 2007

Two track racing junkies were tired of the high price tire maintence they were paying for and started a company for like minded junkies. I was asked to develop their brand to cater to these high speed minds. The logo feels like a track map and the pinstriping on the two-tone card is actually a diagram of the proper way to take a turn. Spot varnishes were used on the logo and turn diagram.

Cairdeas Brand

CAIRDEAS WINERY // 2009-2011

A boutique winery in West Seattle with an emphasis on sustainability, localization, and friendship.  Using the Gaelic symbol of friendship (branch) over a concentric tree ring form and a Northwest color pallet, the story of Cairdeas was born and has resulted into a successful start for the company.

PBJS Brand

PBJS // 2006

Working with an Art Director, I created the identity, stationary, and promotional collateral for this cross-channel creative studio.  Creative directed a fun and memorable look based on the partners initials and the concept of a seudo peanut butter and jelly sandwich company to establish a memorable brand introduction to the public.  The creation of Simon turned out to be our most valuable marketing tool as the public responded most to his happy jam-splattered face.  Simon’s image turned more into the brand of PBJS as the company became recognized with success created from the ingredient of well executed creative and exceptional client relationship.  The logotype was created from an old typesetting book that used to belong to my grandfather.  In it’s detail shows bread crumbs scattered around about.  The color pallet was designed to be a flexible system of purple hues we named the Jelly Bar.  Combined with the foundation of a roasty brown, the jelly bar, Simon, and logotype met it’s goals to a successful introduction to the market while creating smiles on the way.  Logos were published in Letterhead and Logo Design 10 by Rockport Publishing

WYTTENBACH WEDDING SAVE THE DATE // 2010

I screen printed my design over collected vintage wallpaper. The back design was laser printed and hand distressed then assembled together. Each invite is unique and packed in envelope with custom mailing label and vintage stamps.

Visual Basic Launch

VISUAL BASIC LAUNCH // 2006 // PBJS

For the launch of Visual Studio 2005, we turned a typical software launch event into a rock concert. A street team littered the walls of San Fransisco with event posters alongside light pole banners, bus stops, and vinyl-wrapped taxis.  I designed 2 branding poster looks and a supporting design that profiled actual employees as rockstars telling their story about Visual Studio.  The posters were wildly popular and gave celebrity-like status to the participants during the event.  On-screen animations based on my graphics were projected during the event as well a performance by Cheap Trick.

Wedding Invitation

WYTTENBACH WEDDING INVITATIONS // 2010

Screen printed invites on cotton handkerchiefs wrapped around vintage postcards and sealed with grosgrain ribbon. Each invite was unique with unused outdoor-themed postcards from Washington, Montana, and Oregon individually stamped and printed. Envelopes were decorated with vintage stamps and custom mailing label that were indiviually stamped.

Alina’s Cucina

ALINA’S CUCINA COOKBOOK // 2010

Alina’s Cucina is the worlds first organic baby food cookbook and DVD based on international cuisine. I art directed and designed this book as well as developed an icon set for each featured country. The Baby Cuisine can be found in select Whole Foods grocery stores, boutiques, and has been recently featured on TV shows, Good Morning Sacramento and Sacromento and Co.

WaterWerks Brand

WATERWERKS // 2009-2010

The Northwest’s largest German auto show is a multiple day event that entertains thousands of spectators as well as crowns the elite in custom and classic cars.  I am a huge German car fan and multiple year patron to this event, it was an honor to give back to the event by making it look as good as it has been successful.  Car show branding is usually nothing but airbrushed illustrations and drop shadowed type, I knew there was an opportunity here to make a car show a brand or even a lifestyle.  I based my design on the excitement of wearing a shirt that expressed who  you are by it’s content.  A favorite band, a skateboard brand, your favorite sports team…we associate ourselves with these images or memories and a car show is no different.  The logo was designed to be bold and timeless, something that could be a sticker on a windshield and still look good ten years down the road.  Inspired by early Volkswagen advertising and historical graphic design, promotional posters were designed with the same simple illustrated approach.  The brand is very flexible by updating or profiling car illustrations as the years progress or target audience is to be addressed.  Additional event merchandise was branded as well as magazine advertisements and online promotional campaigns for the event.

Bottle Bunker

BOTTLE BUNKER // 2009

My dad has developed a wine collection and created a space in his unfinished basement for storage. The space ironiclly keeps the perfect storing tempeture but is a little dusty. He did an amazing job with his space and I was inspired to surprise him with his own brand for his birthday. I created a logo and painted a distressed sign for his collection.
